Project history
The owner of a private home in Heisenheim, Germany, contacted the company “VERTICAL CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES” On the property, there is a concrete tank with a capacity of approximately 10 m³, designed to collect rainwater from the roof.
After many years of operation, the tank had lost its airtightness. Water began to seep through the walls of the structure, making it impossible to continue operating the system. Our task was to restore the tank’s complete airtightness to ensure its continued operation.
By the time work began, most of the water had already been pumped out of the tank, and the tank itself had been prepared for inspection and waterproofing work.
Solution
Experience shows that when repairing concrete tanks, the biggest mistake is trying to solve the problem with a single material. Reliable waterproofing is not a single product, but a properly designed system in which each material serves its own purpose.
